2 teens shot after leaving recreation center in South Philadelphia, police say

Two teens were shot after leaving a South Philadelphia recreation center, according to police.

It happened on the 2000 block of South 7th Street a few blocks away from the Police Athletic League around 7 p.m. Thursday.

An 18-year-old was shot once in the foot and a 19-year-old was shot once in the leg. Both victims were taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in stable condition.

Police believe it may have been a drive-by shooting. FOX 29’s Dave Schratwieser reports the teens just left the recreation center after playing basketball.

Woman shot after pointing gun at officers at east Wichita hotel

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Update: A woman was shot by an officer after she pointed a gun at officers during a call at the Red Roof Inn Wednesday.

Police were responding to report of a stolen vehicle that was found in the hotel’s lot in the 7300 block of East Kellogg. A person in the area contacted officers, saying that the woman in the stolen car was involved.

2 teens shot near recreation center in Germantown, police say

Philadelphia police are investigating after two teens were shot near a recreation center in the city’s Germantown neighborhood.

It happened on a path near the Happy Hollow Recreation Center on the 4900 block of Pulaski Avenue Tuesday around 8 p.m.

According to police, a 17-year-old boy was shot once in the arm. He was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

Woman shot to death at downtown Boston hotel, 1 of 2 fatal shootings Thursday night

A woman was shot to death at the Hyatt Regency hotel in downtown Boston late Thursday night, according to Boston police.

The hotel incident was one of two fatal shootings in Boston Thursday night. Just over an hour prior, a man was shot to death in Dorchester.

For the hotel shooting, authorities were called to 1 Avenue de Lafayette around 11:26 p.m. for a report of someone shot. Police found a woman with a gunshot wound; she was pronounced dead on scene.
