My husband and I are both fully vaccinated, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that we’re good to travel — with some modifications, of course.

But I am faced with a dilemma. Alaska, where we live, has been on the forefront of vaccinations. But until everyone we might encounter on a trip has been vaccinated, I am struggling with the idea of getting on a plane unless it’s absolutely necessary. Hawaii vacation rental occupancy rates outperform hotels

HONOLULU — Hawaii’s vacation rental market has outperformed hotels in occupancy rates in every month since October.

Vacation rental owners across the state have said the higher demand was prompted by pandemic-related attitude shifts that prioritize space and seclusion for getaways, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported Monday.

Other rental home operators have said that the pandemic-induced reduction in some hotel services, such as daily housekeeping, has decreased the service gap between homes and vacation rentals, the newspaper reported.

Tourism rates fall but outdoor recreation sees massive increase over the last year

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – A study by the 7 Rivers Alliance on tourism and economic numbers across the region found in 2020 the tourism rates fell greatly but outdoor activity rates skyrocketed.

The 7 Rivers Alliance is a regional economic development organization that serves eight counties in Western Wisconsin, two counties in Northeast Iowa, and three is Southeastern Minnesota.
