Farmington Hills prepares to open new recreation and performing arts center | Local-news

When Farmington Hills city officials began to plan for a new recreation and performing arts center at the former Harrison High School, they visited similar facilities in Livonia, Canton, Dearborn and elsewhere.

“We asked what were the most popular attractions,” said Ellen Schnackel, director of the city’s Department of Special Services. “We asked what they would have done differently.”

The city expects to open the $22 million facility at 29995 W. 12 Mile Road by June 1, although the date is tentative because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Iron Mountain Recreation Center open, offers RC racing, arcade games

IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) – Ready Set Race.

“So many people have been telling me that there has been nothing to do,” said Dave Fraser, the owner of the Iron Mountain Rec Center.

That’s why Fraser says he opened the doors to the new business, that’s located in the old Ball and Christy furniture building, at 111 E. D Street in Iron Mountain.

“People are really ready to start getting out and doing things,” he added.

Fraser said this center is the perfect place to do that and form stronger bonds, just like Ryan Pierce and his Step-daughter Nataly Waubiness.

The UAE’s TIME Hotels is set to open its first two hotels in Egypt later this year, namely the five-star TIME Coral Resort Nuweiba in the Red Sea resort of Nuweiba and the four-star TIME Marina Hotel & Conference Center near Al-Alamein on the Mediterranean coast.

The Cottonwood Recreation Center Indoor Pool will be bringing back open swim beginning on Monday, March 22 with new guidelines and schedule in place.

Open swim hours will be from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Monday – Friday) and 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Saturday – Sunday). Anyone may use the pool during these hours, with a maximum capacity of 25 swimmers in the water, in order to maintain social distancing.
