According to the USDA Forest Service, the year of 2020 brought a 200 percent increase in outdoor recreation across Colorado’s northern Front Range, which included a large number of first-time trailgoers and campers.

With so many people headed to Colorado’s natural areas, parking issues, long lines, irresponsible camping, and crowded trails became major pain points for those maintaining the space. Vacation bookings on the rise as COVID vaccinations increase, experts say

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — As more people get vaccinated, many are rushing to get back to normal and are looking to book that summer vacation.

Denise Coubarous Payne, owner and manager of CoubaTravel, a travel agency in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, said her clients are looking to travel to all destinations.

“I have a couple young people who say they’re ready to travel,” said Coubarous Payne. “There was one young lady who wants to go to Puerto Rico. I have someone else who wants to go to South Carolina.”

Tourism rates fall but outdoor recreation sees massive increase over the last year

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – A study by the 7 Rivers Alliance on tourism and economic numbers across the region found in 2020 the tourism rates fell greatly but outdoor activity rates skyrocketed.

The 7 Rivers Alliance is a regional economic development organization that serves eight counties in Western Wisconsin, two counties in Northeast Iowa, and three is Southeastern Minnesota.
