Air travel breaks record during Easter weekend as CDC updates safety guidance for fully vaccinated people

Travel is taking flight this spring.

The Transportation Security Administration reported more than 1.5 million people were screened during Easter weekend at airport checkpoints on Friday, a record since last March around the time the coronavirus started becoming widespread in the U.S.

Easter egg hunts with Lee County Parks & Recreation


There are two Lee County Parks & Recreation sites that will be holding Easter egg hunts for kids, ahead of the observance of Easter. Easter Sunday is April 4.

Both will be held on April 3rd and will be following CDC guidelines. Lee County Parks & Recreation will be offering hand sanitizer.

The Estero EGGstravaganza will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 3. This will be held at Estero Park at 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd in Estero. Pre-registration is required and will be online, by calling the recreation center at 239-533-1470 or

Lompoc Recreation Division hosting drive-through Easter egg hunt | Valley Life

The city of Lompoc Recreation Division in collaboration with Kiwanis Club of Lompoc will host a socially distanced, drive-through Easter egg hunt at Ryon Memorial Park on Saturday, April 3. 

The event will begin at 10 a.m. and is free and open to all children 12 and younger while supplies last.

Participants are invited to wave at the Easter Bunny and take home a treat bag filled with candy eggs and other goodies.

KwaZulu-Natal is the place to be this Easter as tourism businesses are laying out the red carpet for visitors.

Zululand hotels, accommodation outlets and outdoor luxury adventure companies have already recorded an average hotel capacity of 65 percent.
