Pamplico man charged with domestic violence while on vacation at Hilton Head Island

PAMPLICO, S.C. (WBTW) — A Pamplico man was charged with domestic violence while on vacation in Hilton Head, according to deputies.

Robert Bostick allegedly got into an argument with a woman March 20 at the Westin Hotel on Hilton Head Island, according to deputies. The argument started at the pool of the hotel, and continued in a hotel room.

Tourist charged in fatal Hawaii vacation rental fight

HONOLULU (AP) — A tourist from Pittsburgh has been charged with manslaughter after a deadly fight in a Hawaii vacation rental, police said.

A second tourist from Boston who had been arrested was released with no charges filed, police on the Big Island said Wednesday.

Police were called to a Kailua-Kona vacation rental early Monday where a 30-year-old man wasn’t breathing.

An autopsy showed that Abhishek Gupta of Pittsburgh was strangled, police said.

A preliminary investigation found that an argument between the men turned physical, police said.

Benjamin Fleming, 37, of Pittsburgh and Alexander Germany-Wald, 31, of Boston were arrested.

Travel agent in Hawaii charged with 47 felonies after allegedly scamming clients, never actually booking trips

This travel agent may have just booked herself a ticket to jail.

Wendy Wong, who formerly ran the now-defunct House of Aloha Hawaii travel agency, has been charged with 47 felonies after allegedly taking her clients’ money and then canceling their trips at the last minute — without ever providing a refund, Hawaii News Now reported.

Wong’s travel agency reportedly targeted clients in and around Calfirnia’s Bay Area. The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s office launched an investigation into House of Aloha in 2019, following complaints from travelers whose itineraries had been canceled by the agency after payment.

Myrtle Beach police have charged a Greenville man with murder in connection with a shooting at the Waterpark Hotel Thursday.According to the Myrtle Beach Police Department, 33-year-old Jeffrey Seth Eckard faces a murder count stemming from the March 25 homicide.The arrest stems from an investigation that first started when officers were called to a shooting early Thursday morning at the Waterpark Hotel along South Ocean Boulevard.
