While Antonio Brown is technically a free agent, he is still the Buccaneers‘ player to lose. They have shot nearly 100% so far during this free agency period, and believing that they couldn’t make a future with Brown work is somewhat naive.

Even with his close friend, Tom Brady, on the roster, Brown and the Bucs are not close to reaching a deal, according to Mike Garafolo on Good Morning Football.

This was an expected outcome, but Tampa Bay doesn’t need to worry yet.

Brown: Smith’s departure was a ‘mutual separation’

Three days after one of West Virginia’s more decorated football players of the Neal Brown era announced he was entering the NCAA transfer portal, Brown addressed the departure of safety Tykee Smith following Saturday’s practice.

“Mutual separation and it’s a lot like some relationships that I’m sure everyone on here has been in,” Brown said speaking to reporters on a Zoom conference. “It just gets to a point where it’s best for both parties and that’s kind of where we were. Nothing negative to say about him.”

Smith was quite productive in his two years as a Mountaineer.
