Australia and New Zealand’s travel bubble begins April 18

(CNN) — New Zealand will allow Australians to travel to the country quarantine-free, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said in a press conference Tuesday, April 6.

The travel bubble is set to begin on Sunday, April 18 at 11:59 pm, Ardern added. Australia has allowed New Zealand travelers to enter without quarantine, and New Zealand is now following suit.

Frisco begins 1st phase of improvements at Peninsula Recreation Area

Frisco is pushing forward with plans to revamp the Peninsula Recreation Area.

During the Frisco Town Council meeting on Tuesday, March 23, officials signed off on a contract for architectural and design work on a new Village Center building at the Frisco Adventure Park.

In 2019, Frisco began efforts to bring a new operations building to the site but ultimately decided to pump the breaks and consider a more holistic scope of work for the park’s future.

As freeze in air travel begins to thaw, United adds flights

Scheduled United flights to Latin America will exceed levels before the pandemic, compared with the same period in 2019, including more flights to Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and South America. The carrier will resume flights between Chicago and Tokyo and between New York/Newark and Milan and Rome, and restart service between Chicago and Amsterdam.

While that means United will be operating only 52% of its overall schedule compared with May 2019, it’s significantly better than in May 2020, when flights were being operated at levels of about 14% of the same period the year before.
